BotsoFest
August 22-24, 2008

A three day festival in honor of Youth Symphony founder, Wachtang "Botso" Korisheli.

The festival will include appearances by world-renowned conductor Kent Nagano and will conclude with a concert featuring Mr. Nagano directing Youth Symphony members and alumni at the Performing Arts Center in San Luis Obispo.  All proceeds from the festival will be used to fund the production of a feature-length, festival-quality documentary entitled:  "Botso: The Passion of Music, The Power of Art."  The film documents Botso's amazing life and the tremendous influence he has had on the lives of his students.

All proceeds from the film will benefit the Youth Symphony Endowment Fund, supporting music education and beautiful music on the Central Coast forever.
