Founded in 1965 by Dr. Wachtang "Botso" Korisheli and staffed by conductors and coaches with extensive experience, the San Luis Obispo Youth Symphony provides an excellent environment for young musicians to develop their skills through symphonic and chamber music training. The Youth Symphony is part of the San Luis Obispo Symphony's extensive Music Education program and it is the only opportunity between Santa Barbara and Monterey for school-age musicians to receive full orchestral training.

It's the first concert of the season and a great afternoon of music designed for the entire family to enjoy!  Our talented musicians will perform selections from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite, Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride and Rimsky-Korsakov's Christmas Polonaise, just to name a few.
